Enrollment Benefits


Each Class Enrollment Includes:
 

Hands-on course instruction from a noted, professional teacher.

Use of all studio equipment such as wheels, slab-roller, extruder and Giffin Grip.

25 lbs. of clay (includes glazing and firing). Additional clay is available for purchase.

Free open studio access seven days a week, including most weekday evenings.

Access to food-safe glazes, slips, majolica's, underglazes and selected oxides

Cone 6 firing in oxidation or Raku.

Discounts on special workshops and demonstrations.

No limit on the amount of clay you can purchase during a class session, or the number of pieces you can make and have fired. All work produced in each semester must be completed during that semester only. No hang-overs allowed. Some restrictions may apply for size.

Purchase extra clay from Zen And Now Clay Studio or Stone Mountain Clay & Glaze.

 

 What You Need To Know:

On the first night of class, each instructor will advise students of any recommended tools and suggest a class clay. Additional class clay may be purchased from Zen And Now Clay Studio or Stone Mountain Clay & Glaze.

Students should arrive for the first night of class with any tools they may already have and a hand towel. Zen And Now Clay Studio recommends that you start with at least a basic pottery tool kit and at least two 12" (or larger) throwing bats available for sale at Zen And Now Clay Studio.

Zen And Now Clay Studio students have access to several Stone Mountain Clay & Glaze Company stoneware clays and glazes, plus underglazes, slips and iron oxide wash. All products provided to students are food-safe.

Generous Open Studio time is included free of charge to all Zen And Now students and Open Studio Members on a first-come, first-serve basis. Open studio hours are posted below.

Each Zen And Now Clay Studio class meets once per week, the dates of each class are listed in the class schedule. All Zen And Now classes currently offered are for adults and teens ages 13 and over. Special children's classes to come.

The listed times for each class include set-up/breakdown time. Please be respectful of the next class beginning time and begin clean-up 15 minutes before end of class.

Zen And Now Clay Studio classes are limited to twelve (12) students per session (minimum class size is 3-5 depending on teacher).

Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Rain checks for missed classes will be accommodated whenever possible, but only one per 8 week semester.

Lab Fee. Our lab fee helps keep clay costs down and helps us maintain materials and utilities.

Mondays: 10am - 6:30pm
Tuesdays: 10am - 8pm
Wednesdays: 10am - 9pm
Thursdays: 2pm - 9pm
Fridays: 2pm - 8pm
Saturdays: 10am - 5pm
Sundays: 1pm - 5pm
Closed on holidays
